We're MOVING...

Thursday, February 14, 2008

Sorry for the inconvenience, folks. I am discontinuing the update of this Blog and will be continuing the rant over at http://journal.junbobkim.com.

Ok... Nothing to see here, folks... come on... let's keep it moving... ;)

Packing the essentials...

Tuesday, September 25, 2007

Okay... Getting ready for my trip to Redding, PA. Can't forget to pack the essentials to Episode 300, right?

We have arrived!

Friday, September 21, 2007

Despite the unattentive shuttle service at express parking and crazy lines at airport security, Brad, Frank and I have mde the flight. Smooth flight with a few quirks of people grabbing whatever seats they want. It's sunny and around 70 degrees here at 11AM. After the rental car, we're gonna kill about an hour or two before picking up Austin.

CGS Episode 300, here I come!

JunBob First Podcast Interview!

Monday, May 28, 2007

Well, my first ever interview in this ever-growing digital world of podcasts! The awesome padres Brad Milyo and Frank Rincon that I met via Comic Geek Speak forum started a podcast of their own called Half Hour Wasted.

Unfortunately, due to some insidious plan on Frank's part, I didn't get to be the first ever comic book creator to be interview on HHW, as was promised to me by Frank. To make matters worse, the recording of Brad and me punkin' Frank during the show was lost to an unfortunate (too convenient for Frank if you ask me!) technical glitch. The only salvaging part was that the first interview was with Erica Hesse artist and co-creator of "The Key" and a super-kewl kat from Jersey. Good times would be had for the next hour or so as they kindly extended 2 episodes for me to join them.

Go to http://www.halfhourwasted.com and check out the cool podcast... My interview can be found on Episode 14 & Episode 15.

Superman versus Captain Marvel

Inked commission for edit_this on CGS forum. I enjoyed the clash of these two titans... reminiscent of DC's Kingdom Come, which is still my favorite comic book of all time for me.

A 3 piece commission for BrandX at CGS... I believe he plans on framing these pieces all in one frame.

Officially Open for Commissions.

Thursday, June 08, 2006

Alright... here it goes. I am officially open to accepting commissions! Already 2 have signed up... and since a comment from Bryan Deemer at Comic Geek Speak started the latest string of commissions, I am offering the first 10 commissions a free sketch also.

It took me a while, but I've gathered the information together and put the info together as a PDF.
For more information, check out the Art Commission Info & Request Form.

Human Fly? What in the World?!

Wednesday, June 07, 2006

So, those crazy greeks on Comic Geek Speak throw out not just a 70's Marvel Fanpic Challenge, but Jamie D ups the ante with a suggestion for Human Fly.

Human Fly? Human FLY? I don't need to stinkin' Human Fly!

So needless to say, I went ahead and painted one up. :-)

"Second Chance" Illustrated for Comic Geek Speak.

Saturday, June 03, 2006

So, the episodes of Comic Geek Speak of "creating a new character" inspired me to do some sketches. As far as the forum is concerned, I'm contributing after a whole generation of forum had past, etc. So far, good feedback is given and the part that pleases me the most is that many are agreeing that I am "staying in theme" with the character descriptions.

I've been having fun doing the sketches, but I'm afraid the fun sketches will have to slow down so I can devote more time to the Issue Zero of the project.

Finally, Issue Zero Arrives!

I am sooooo stoked! Finally a script that I've been waiting on for good part of this year! All the past troubles that surrounded the project in the past has been cleared, and we are good to go on the project.

I know the post sounds cryptic... but I will share more news on the project as soon as we have some more materials in the works.

Some of the character images are available for viewing in my portfolio section: JunBob's Comic Art Portfolio .

Setting up Blogger on my own site!

Friday, June 02, 2006

What a snap! I am pleasantly surprised to find how easily Blogger allowed me to setup and launch a blog on my own website. I was able to start and complete the whole process in about 10mins.

Hopefully, I can get started on regularly posting on my blogs and the latest pictures of what I'm working on.

See you around, folks!
